Terms of service

Last updated:

These terms apply to the Dobiverse website at dobiverse.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who we are

Dobiverse and this website are run by Naresh Sekar, based in Chennai, India.

For anything about these terms, email privacy@dobiverse.com.

What Dobiverse is

Dobiverse makes songs, learning videos, stories and printables for children. This website is free to use, shows no ads and has no accounts, logins, comments or chat. Our videos are hosted on YouTube and play through YouTube’s own player.

Children and grown-ups

The site is made for young children to use with a grown-up nearby. A grown-up is responsible for a child’s use of it. Links that leave Dobiverse are behind a simple question only a grown-up is likely to answer.

Using the site

Please use Dobiverse in the spirit it was made. You agree not to:

  • try to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or the servers behind it;
  • copy the site in bulk by automated means, or re-publish it as your own;
  • use anything from Dobiverse in a way that is unlawful, or that would harm or mislead children.

Our songs, videos and printables

Everything we make, including the characters, songs, videos, artwork and printables, belongs to us unless we say otherwise. You may watch our videos, and you may print and use our printables at home, in a classroom or in a childcare setting, as many times as you like, free of charge.

You may not sell them, charge for access to them, re-upload them to another platform, or present them as your own work. If you would like to use something in another way, just ask us first.

Things you send us

If you email us an idea, feedback or material for a collaboration, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to read it, reply to it, and use it to improve what we make. Please do not send us anything confidential, and please do not send us a child’s personal information.

YouTube and other services

Watching a video means using YouTube, which is run by Google and has its own terms. Those terms apply between you and YouTube, not us. The same goes for any other service we link to.

You can read the YouTube Terms of Service.

Availability

We would like the site to be available and correct at all times, but we cannot promise it. We may change, pause or withdraw any part of it, including any video, game or printable, without notice. The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for anything arising from a service we do not control, such as YouTube.

Changes to these terms

If what the site does changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute about them will be settled by the courts of Chennai, India.
